But we made it. We're 7 of 13 after taking down Conclave of Wind and Theralion and Valiona. They're the two of the most technically demanding and unforgivable encounters we've taken on.

Heroic Atramedes Down! Now 5/13

After reverting back to our normal mode strategy, we were able to take down Atramedes. Go figure. Looks like all the fancy, one sided approaches didn't exactly do much for us. We just had to go back to basics. Our first attempt knocked him down to mid 20% range. We got him down shortly after that. Nice job to everyone who contribute to the kill and to the learning attempts.

Heroic Chimaeron and Maloriak Down

Actually, we killed Maloriak a few weeks ago but I haven't updated the news page yet. However, we finally killed heroic Chimaeron after a few extremely promising attempts. Hat tip to all the players involved past and present while we were learning and refining our strategies.

Ascendant Council and Chimaeron down

Holy/Disc/Shadow Priest

Conquest is looking to bolster its raiding team with an exceptional shadow priest. No matter what spec you are, you know how best to utilize every spell and tool at your disposal. General raid experience is required along with the ability to communicate. Preferences given to those who are driven to compete.

As Shadow: Ideal Shadow players can react to the changing encounter mechanics and deal an amazing amount. DoT uptime and maintenance is a requirement as is the ability to remain mobile when necessary. They also know when to drop shadow form and support healing.

Shadow Priests fluent in both Shadow and healing specs are a major plus.

Rogue

Conquest is recruiting an experienced and consistent Rogue. The standards for this position are high. While it goes without saying that a Rogue must be able to deliver high DPS, ideal rogues are able to exercise their utilities in roles where high DPS is not necessary (interrupts for example). Rogues who can maintain a high level of DPS while surviving from various raid mechanics who can use utility abilities are encouraged to apply.

Hunter

Conquest is in need of a skilled hunter to add to the roster who has a passion for the game and is willing to compete. The ideal hunter can play all 3 specs with optimal DPS and can maximize the use of class abilities at opportunistic times (abilities such as Feign Death, traps, disengage, etc). They will not shy away when asked to pull and kite certain mobs around the room and are able to CC according to the needs of the raid. Communication and team skills a bonus.

Paladin

Conquest seeks the services of a skilled Paladin. You have extensive knowledge of your class and desired specs. No matter what role the paladin plays, they understand the assorted utilities they have at their disposal and are not afraid to use it. Communication skills and ability to work with the raid are a must. Recognizing situations that call for Hand of Salvation, Hand of Sacrifice, Aura Mastery and other abilities are greatly preferred. Applicants who are fluent in multiple roles are preferred.

- As Holy: You will be working with a team of elite healers. You have an understanding of the new healing mechanics and can balance regeneration and throughput accordingly without jeopardizing your survivability. You are able to tank heal, raid heal, move while healing, and are capable of communicating your intentions during intense moments.

Mage

Conquest is in need of a skilled mage to add to the roster who has a passion for the game and is willing to compete. The main purpose of a mage is to DPS, but they must be smart and able react to changing raid mechanics. Serious mages know all the tricks in the book when it comes to survival and differentiate between times to maximize DPS or spell steal/dispel. Expertise in all 3 specs preferred.

Druid

Conquest is in high need of a Druid to supplement our roster. You understand the fundamentals and have advanced knowledge of the class and spec. You are able to proactively use crowd control spells like Cyclone and Entangling Roots as necessary. As a Druid, you are in a unique position to cast Rebirth on players midfight. You are able to cast Rebirth on demand on targets as called for by the raid leader at the appropriate time without compromising your own well being. Recognizing opportune moments to pop Tranquility is a plus.

- As Balance: As a ranged caster, you can bring the DPS and compete with the other casters in Conquest. Crowd control skills are often necessary and you know how to step in to perform that role. Management of DPS cooldowns and utility abilities are a must. Ability to recognize when to drop back and heal players is a plus.

- As Restoration: You will be working with a team of elite healers. You know how the new Cataclysm healing mechanics work and how the previous healing game worked. You are able to balance healing the raid without compromising your mana regeneration. You have the knowledge and capability to tank heal, raid heal, heal and move, and are able to communicate your intentions under pressure filled situations. You are able to read the play and know where you need to focus your heals next.

Preference will be given to players who have demonstrated mastery in two specs and roles.

Shaman

Conquest is searching for a Shaman to add to our ranks. You understand the fundamentals and have advanced knowledge of the class and spec. Ideal Shaman are able to play two or more roles at a truly exceptional level. You are able to proactively crowd control at your own discretion. Active purging of debuffs is often needed and you are willing to sacrifice personal DPS to ensure that it is done. You recognize that you should not activate Reincarnation until it is called upon by a raid leader due to the resurrection restrictions in place.

- As Restoration: You will be working with a team of elite healers. You know how the new Cataclysm healing mechanics work and how the previous healing game worked. You are able to balance healing the raid without compromising your mana regeneration. You have the knowledge and capability to tank heal, raid heal, heal and move, and are able to communicate your intentions under pressure filled situations. You are able to read the play and know where you need to focus your heals next.

Grats to everyone that got their drakes tonight. Nice work! Thanks to everyone that put in the effort of the past several months wiping to some of these crazy encounters. We'll try to go back and get some of them out of the way as well.
